2012

It's 2012.

What are you gonna do about it?

Let's play real or not real for starters.

Finding joy. Real.
I miss last year. Not real.
My food baby now has a twin. Real. His name is Neebles.
Each day means more strength. Real.
I am enough on my own. Not real.
Tomorrow might bring the unexpected for us all. Real.

Thank you Lady Gaga for bringing in this new year.

Large amounts of love and kisses,
M

days to come

Christmas and the day after have been filled with warm wishes and love.
For you as well, my prayer.

Sweet things like these have filled our home:

slumbering in till poppa got home, unwrapping oodles of goodies (like the woven knit hat above-ain't it pretty? and the classy "pee ewe" boxers), eating cream o' crab soup till stummy's could no longer manage the joy such tastes were bringing, remembering his love story as our day's tale, annual christmas concerting for the ma with spontaneous bursts of interpretive dance and belling, saying "merry merry christmas" and catching up with loved ones, reading the second book of hunger games while eating pez and roadtripping in red corduroy toms to find we would only creep on people till they willfully(ish) gave up their parking spot.

note to reader: never try shopping the day after christmas.

I hope you continue to find and/or let your secret blessings unfold...even if you think they are better left unseen.

Grace,
M

Have a very Merry en[Joy]able Christmas!

T'was the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
in hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there. The children were nestled all snug in their beds...

Well almost. Haven't gotten there yet.
Ma and I are making shrimp, cutting up cheeses from Ireland, and basking in ripped
hose, crushed up cookies and christmas lights till the rest of our family of five arrive.

From the Moorman family to yours-- blessings this holiday Christmas time!
May it be filled with love and unexpected savorings of joy,
such as these...

love in our Hope,
Marg

merry monday

If you asked me what I love about this season.
What (joy)ly things I'd have to say.
Let's start with perfect little faces and their perfect little gifts.
Like fuzzy socks,
and princess portraits,
and hummingbird bead necklaces,
and peppermint sticks re-wrapped,
and colors in a mug,
that are entirely
invaluable.

and yes, one of my students did make up the word joyly today.
joy + jolly

oh my! and we cannot forget the stain-your-tongue-incredible-colors-whipped-cream-topped cupcakes that are so undeniably
scrumptious...thanks Mrs. G!

Merry Monday!

love,
mmm

Most every day
I am asked to put my words into English, That the way my mouth speaks is a stranger to those most dear. But tonight, in unkempt honesty, I don't really care to translate.
I don't really care to speak actually.

Introverto, teachered-out, sick Miss M. is retiring with some
civil wars and wailing jenny's and camelback bottles and throwback memories of the heart.
and tonight I'll let miss sarah kay speak my thoughts for me.
I think those great ones to my heart will hear it clearly as they need.
Mayhaps tomorrow I will type in ABC.

and so...
